Exercise your way to health.. your own way
I should preface this post by stating that I don’t have a home gym, nor do I have a six pack, but I will still share my insight on fitness and all of the wondrous things it does for the body.
Like all great habits, I do have somewhat of a morning routine, and that of course starts with about 20 minutes or so of snoozing, deciding it is indeed time to get up, and then a mad dash to splash some water on my face while I brush my teeth. I'll make my way to my “yoga mat room,” and decide on a video I’m going to attempt that day. It can be 12 minutes, or 44, but I know it is interrupted and focused on me. In time where the actual gym seems more of a mirage, than an actuality, I have since learnt a yoga mat can do wondrous things, and depending on your mood, and morning need, so can exercise. The best part is, it’s only you, yourself, and your mat, a judgement-free zone.
PMS cramps- while the thought of doing a hot yoga class might get quite sticky, there is nothing like gentle and calming Melissa Wood Tepperberg to guide you through your monthly troubles. She has sure made 2020 the year to do home workouts, and while at $79 for the year, it seems impossibly inexpensive, I checked and rechecked my statement several times, it’s for real.
Gain some energy- A real-life, dancing energizer bunny, Tracy Anderson is unlike any other human, she goes just by Tracy, she’s that important . Her monthly streaming fee is not your average cost of health, but then again, its all relative. Her cardio workouts are strengthening, energetic and quote challenging. Don’t over do it with the weights, start slowwww.
Lift your mood- happy exercise might not sound like two words that would follow each other, but like Amanda Kloots have shown on her social, anything, anything is possible. That is staying present, positive and yes, happy. Her cardio rope (and her smile) is infectious and legit, and will bring anyone out of any slump. Here’s to health, (and the many ways we attempt it.)
